Fat Dogs – Buy Healthy Dog Food

With my dog Kozmo, it was the change to homemade dog food that made such a huge difference in her energy, the sparkle in her eyes, and the sheen of her coat, not to mention her attitude!

After researching dog foods and finding out about the preservative ethoxyquin that is in many commercial dog foods, we made the switch without hesitation.  If you read about ethoxyquin, you will come to the same conclusion. 

Our dog food bills went down, but it did take a little more effort to cook and put together healthy ingredients that Kozmo loved.  We found some pretty good recipes, but it still took some experimenting.

Then we discovered John Millers recipes.  He has a book of 245 great recipes.  It took him over 50 years to put these all together.

It is always good to start looking at what kind of food you are feeding your dog if your pet starts having health issues.  Food allergies due to all the wheat and corn in commercial foods could be the culprit.  Maybe something far worse in the food is affecting your pet.  Investigate.
